HEALING AND LIFTING THE SPIRITS OF WOUNDED IDF VETERANS.
Dear Supporters of Zahal Shalom,
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you who has generously donated, volunteered, ran or participated in events, and/or traveled to Israel with supplies for IDF soldiers since October 7. Your unwavering generosity and kindness have touched the lives of countless IDF soldiers on the frontlines. These contributions have reinforced the connection between the American Jewish community and Israel, letting the troops know they have our support.
Together, we've raised over $400,000, a testament to the power of collective goodwill and unequivocal support for our beloved Israel. These funds have been instrumental in procuring essentials, such as ceramic vests, tactical uniforms, helmets, boots, medical supplies, backpacks, rain and sniper gear and more.
Due to the ongoing war, there has been hesitation on the part of Israeli leadership with regard to sending groups of Israelis abroad this year. However, Zahal Shalom has been chosen by the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization (ZDVO) in Israel to host a delegation of wounded IDF veterans this summer.
We are honored by their trust in us. We will continue our mission of bringing ten wounded veterans to Bergen County to shower them with love and show them our community's support for Israel. As our motto says, “In our homes for two weeks, in our hearts for a lifetime.”
For more than 30 years Zahal Shalom has helped wounded IDF veterans in their recoveries. At this time and moving forward, our fundraising efforts will continue to advance our mission by underwriting the cost of hosting the veteran delegations who come to us for healing and renewal. We will always be there to support our soldiers on the ground if needed.

Thank you for your continued support!

OUR MISSION
Zahal Shalom of Bergen County is dedicated to healing and lifting the spirits of wounded Israeli Defense Force veterans.
Our compassionate volunteers open their hearts and homes to forge lasting, life-changing relationships that support the veterans and their hopes for the future. We in turn benefit from sharing our lives with them, and are proud to express our gratitude for their service to the State of Israel. Our program of cultural, educational, and social events enriches the lives of the veterans, promotes a sense of new opportunities, and fosters a bond of love and support.
Zahal Shalom is a 100% volunteer run non-profit organization funded entirely by
the generosity of private donations.
